‘Newspapers’ vitality cannot be ignored’

KARACHI - Karachi Municipal Corporation Administrator Hussain Syed has said that any problems regarding municipal matters facing by journalist community, owners and editors of newspapers will be solved on priority basis.
Newspapers published from other cities will be provided with all possible help if they start their publication from Karachi also. Addressing a civic reception held in a local hotel by the KMC in honour of All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) General Council members, he said importance of newspapers and magazines could not be ignored in this era of communication. This is the only way that could be used for establishing inter coordination among the cities, countries and nations.
The Administrator informed the members about the development projects that had been completed in Karachi and the recently started works costing billions of rupees.
APNS President Hameed Haroon thanked the KMC for holding the civic reception in honour of APNS General Council. He said this had encouraged the editors and journalists associated with different newspapers.
The reception was attended by owners and editors of different newspapers and magazines. Municipal Commissioner Matanat Ali Khan along with the heads of KMC departments and a large number of prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
