Imran broke his promise: Assef

KASUR - Senior politician Sardar Aseff Ahmed Ali has claimed that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan betrayed him and failed to fulfil his promise made for awarding party ticket to him.
Talking to media, the senior politician said that Imran Khan had not fulfilled his promise of giving him the ticket from Kasur instead the ticket was awarded to Khursheed Kasuri.
He said that Imran had told him five times that those leaders who quitted assembly seats after joining PTI would be given party tickets. Sardar Aseff announced contesting elections from NA-139 and NA-140 as an independent candidate.
NOMINATION PAPERS SUBMITTED: Dozens of independent and representing different political parties candidates have submitted their nomination papers for five National Assembly seat in the office of District Returning Officer Kasur here Saturday.
According to ECP sources, the candidates who filed their nomination papers for NA-138 Dr Abu Alkhair Alori JUI, Hassan Ali Khan PTI, Sardar Tufail Khan PML-Q, Salman Hanif PML-N, Nasira Mayo PPPP, Chaudhry Masood Zafar Jamaat-e-Islami, Azaz Haider (Independent).
For NA-139 Waseem Akhtar Sheikh PML-N, Naveed Rizvi PML-Q Likeminded, Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmad PPPP, Javed Qasuri Jamaat-e-Islami, Munir Ahmad Zafar MQM and Muzaffar Kazmi PTI.
For NA-140 Malik Rashid Khan PML-N, Azeem Uddin Lakhvi PML-Q, Khurshid Mehmood Qasuri PTI, Sardar Assef Ahmad Ali (Independent), Ibtesam Ilahi Zaheer Muttahida Dini Mahaz.
For NA-141 Sardar Asif Nakai PML-Q, Rana Ishaq PML-N, Hafiz Muhammad Ali Yazdani Muttahida Dini Mahaz, Hafiz Nazir Ahmad Jamaat-e-Islami.  For NA-142 Talib Nakai PML-Q, Rana Muhammad Hayat PML-N and Haji Muhammad Ramzan of Jamaat-e-Islami have submitted their nomination papers yet.
