Petroleum prices reduced on PM directives

ISLAMABAD- The government has announced to reduce the prices of petroleum products from midnight.

According to Spokesman of Prime Minister’s House, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today directed to reduce the POL prices immediately. The price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 1.72 per litre and its new price will be Rs 108.31 per litre. Meanwhile, price of Kerosene has been reduced by Rs 5.71 per litre, High Octane Rs 4.66, light diesel Rs 5.6 per litre, diesel Rs 2 per litre, high speed diesel has been reduced by Rs 2.90 per litre. The revised price takes effect from midnight.

It is to mention here that Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had recommended decrease in petroleum prices last week. OGRA had also forwarded a summary to the government recommending decrease in the prices of petroleum.
