KARAK - Two persons were killed in two separate incidents in Karak. Police sources informed that in first incident a 10th class student of Army Public School Bannu was killed in broad daylight in Latamber Bazaar here on Monday.
Eyewitness informed that the student Zohaib Hassan son of Shoaib Khan was coming to Latamber Bazaar for taking grocery when an accused Sultanuddin, resident of the same area, opened indiscriminate firing on him. After committing the crime, the accused managed escape the scene. He received several bullets and succumbed to his injuries before shifting to a local health center.
Zohaib was the lone brother of his four sisters and was the nephew of former provincial vice president of PTI Akhter Hussain advocate. Shoaib, father of the slain Zohaib, informed the police that his son was killed by alleged killer for rejecting his demand of unfair friendship with him.
He registered FIR against Sultanuddin for killing his son and the alleged killer managed to escape after committing the crime.
In another incident, a body of a young man was found in Warana area of Tehsil Takht-e-Nusrati. Later the police shifted the body to a health center in Latamber where it was identified by relatives as Yaqoob Khan son of Arab Khan, resident of Warana. Police after autopsy handed over the body of the young man to his relatives for burial.
Irfan, brother of the slaim Yaqoob Khan, registered FIR in Latamber Police Station against Hameedullah and Tahir. Police claimed that there was old enmity between the two groups. Police registered the case and started investigation but the accused were still at large.
