The prevailing shortage of irrigation water for the tail end growers is making everyone anxious. This shortage of water is not only devastating on the Kharif crops but on the livestock and the population of the border areas of Badin. Some cattle owners, facing these hurdles have started their journey towards city wherever irrigation water will be available. Tail end growers said that they would suffer huge losses if irrigation water was not released soon. They also said that if shortage continues then they would not be able to grow the Rabbi crop or prepare the land for rice cultivation.
Some big land holders do not provide irrigation water to small growers and are creating artificial shortage of water. Due to non supply of water the population, living in the coastal areas, is facing scarcity of drinking water. We request the concerned officials to supply irrigation water to the tail end growers without any delay or all their crops will be ruined.
