Islamabad - The Capital Administration & Development Division (CADD) yesterday promoted 17 lecturers to the post of assistant professors.
Twelve female and five male lecturers of Islamabad Model colleges were promoted as assistant professors in BPS-18 in the meeting of departmental promotion committee (DPC) of Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), a subordinate institute of CADD overseeing schools and colleges of ICT.
Qaiser Majeed Malik, Additional Secretary in CADD had chaired the meeting while Dr Ali Ahmad Kharal, the outgoing Director General of FDE whom the apex court removed from the post, and Sulaiman Qayyum, joint secretary (admn), were the members of the committee.
The male and female lecturers (BPS-17) promoted as assistant professors (BPS-18) include; Sarfraz Malik, Khalid Mehmood Chaudhary, Tariq Mehmood Baloch, Muhammad Habibullah, Kamran Sarfraz Baig, Nasreen Bano, Seema Kausar,   Nuzhat Afshan, Nabila Naeem,  Asma Nizam, Shazia Iram, Tanveer Zehra, Dr Asiya Muhammad Ullah,  Mehreen Akhtar Abbasi, Raheela Kausar , Sadia Iftikhar, Yasmeen Shahab, Maira Shafaq (conditional subject to non-provision of ACRs of Nuzhat Afshan).
Prof Manzar Zafar Kazmi, President Federal Government College Teachers Association (FGCTA), and Prof Muhammad Akram, General Secretary FGCTA, congratulated all the teachers who got the promotion. The central body of FGCTA held a meeting to pay thanks to the Additional Secretary CADD Qaiser Majeed Malik, Ali Ahmad Kharal and Sulaiman Qayyum for the cooperation and personal interest they showed in holding of the DPC meeting.
