Saifullah Noon steered Noon team to an impressive 6 ½ -2 goals triumph over struggling Rijas in the Faysal Bank Polo Cup 2016 match played here at the Lahore Polo Club (LPC) ground on Wednesday. Saifullah Noon was star of the day as he thwarted tremendous three goals in his team’s victory while Taimur Hayat Noon contributed two and Azam Hayat Noon one. For the losing side, Atif Tiwana and Qadeer Ashfaq hit one goal apiece.
Talking to media, man of the match Saifullah Noon said that he was very delighted with his match-winning performance and termed his team’s win a collective effort of the entire team. “I have been a horse rider since I was five-year old and these days, I have been studying in boarding school in England and came to Pakistan to spend my vacations.”
“I belong to a polo family and my father, uncles and cousins are passionate polo players and have earned many laurels in this elite game. I am inspired by my uncle Saqib Khan Khakwani and want to be a Pakistan polo captain like him, for which I have working really hard and learning polo skills in England. Soon after my studies, I would love to join polo as a professional player,” added Saifullah.
