MULTAN - Provincial Parliamentary Secretary, Nadeem Qureshi on Tuesday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was tightening noose around sugar cartel so that no one could escape law.
Prime Minister, Imran Khan had won hearts of people by tightening noose around sugar millers who were involved in cartel, said a statement issued here. He said that Imran Khan was the only Prime Minister who did not own a sugar mill adding that only a gallant and honest leader like him could blacklist the sugar mills working as mafia. Qureshi alleged that former rulers including Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari backed these sugar mafia in their respective tenures by extending subsidy adding that they took kickback for this favour. PTI government was supporting traders for their business, he said and added that no one would be allowed to loot the nation, he added.

land retrieved
Assistant commissioner Aabgeenay Khan on the orders of Deputy Commissioner Ali Shahzad on Tuesday retrieved 233-Kanal state land valuing Rs150 million from the land grabbers in tahsil Sadar area Multan.
Leading a team of revenue staff, civil defence, and police, AC Sadar Multan reached Jhok Lashkar Pur where he got the land retrieved from the land grabbers. AC also ordered recovery of tax (Tawan) from the illegal occupants.
Precautionary measures taken at mia
Stringent measures have been taken at Multan International Airport in wake of third wave of coronavirus for safety of passengers and their relatives besides staffers under NCOC and DG Civil Aviation directions.
Airport Manager, Mubarik Shah in a statement issued here on Tuesday said that no entry was allowed without masks and fine was imposed against violation of SOPs. He informed that from flight inquiry office an announcement was made for abiding by precautionary measures against coronovirus after every 15 minutes.
Soon after flight arrival and departure, entire area was disinfected, he said adding that SOPs about COVID-19 were being followed strictly. Mr Shah said that social distancing was being ensured at the airport.
PDM creating obstacles for country’s progress: Musakhel
Deputy Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Sardar Babar Khan Musakhel lambasted Pakistan Democratic Alliance (PDM) terming it a hindrance for progress of the country.
Addressing a ceremony held in his honour at residence of Malik Baghoon Khan Musakhel and Malik Wazeer Khan Musakhel at Dera Din Pannah, he informed that Prime Minister, Imran Khan was focusing to control the inflation for the last two weeks and was working on it day and night. However, some elements like PDM was creating obstacles in the way of prosperity in the country, he said adding that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was linked to not only Balochistan but to the development of the entire country.
“The CPEC will alleviate poverty from the country. It will also generate job opportunities,” Deputy Speaker maintained.
Prime Minister and Balochistan CM, Jam Kamal Khan were paying special attention to the completion of different project under CPEC, he noted.
PTI govt have employed up to 18,000 youth in Balochistan so far, Musakhel stated. Earlier, he was given warm welcome at his arrival to the area. Stringent security arrangements were made for the visiting dignitary.
