DHAKA (APP) - Bangladesh has ruled out trial of 195 Pakistani war criminals. Foreign Minister Dipu Moni has said Pakistan has concerns about the trial of 1971 war criminals in Bangladesh saying that Islamabad feels it may create new wounds. They feel its a history of the past. They feel many things may emerge through the trial process. They dont want to go back to the past, she told a press briefing in Dhaka Friday on her meeting with Pakistan State Minister for Foreign Affairs Malik Ahmad Khan on the sidelines of the recently held ICFM conference in Damascus. Dipu said Pakistan wanted to discuss this issue more with Bangladesh and she agreed. Bangladesh will not try 195 Pakistani war criminals. She tried to convince Khan that it is an obligation for Bangladesh under national and international laws to try the war criminals responsible for the crimes committed in 1971.
