LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has paid rich tributes to Jawans and officers of Pak Army who have laid their lives during the performance of their duty in Swat and other areas. He said that we are proud of these martyrs and every Pakistani is thankful to them. In a statement here Saturday, the Chief Minister said that some elements want to complete the designs of enemies of Pakistan by playing havoc to create anarchy and lawlessness in our peaceful cities, villages and towns but people of Pakistan and Pak army would foil designs of anti-state elements. He said the war against terrorism is a war of sovereignty of Pakistan, prosperity of its people and revival of the country. Shahbaz Sharif in his statement also paid homage to the Jawans, officers of Police force and other persons of civil society who embraced martyrdom in Lahore blast and other incidents. The Chief Minister said that Punjab government would look-after the injured police officials and the heirs of martyrs of this incident. He said that Punjab police had been facing a big challenge and he believed that Jawans and officers of Punjab police would cope with this challenge.
