SARGODHA (APP) - Five members of a family were killed on the spot while eight others received injuries in a severe road accident on Sunday at highway. The police sources said that Muhammad Ali, a resident of Chawaywala, Sahiwal, was travelling to Lahore along with his twelve close family members on a public van when all of a sudden, a truck collided with the van near 'Dhodha causing instant death of Muhammad Ali, Muham-mad Zubair, Aqsa, Samihullah and van driver Muhammad Ramzan, while eight other persons sustained wounds and shifted to a hospital. However, truck driver escaped the scene. Laksian Police have registered a case against the unidentified truck driver. The deceased Muhammad Ali, a PAF employee, was travelling to Lahore to receive his wife from the airport as she was returning after performing Umrah.
