HAFIZABAD - The District Price Control Committee has re-fixed rates of different daily-use items and has called upon the trading community to cooperate with the administration to sell the commodities at fixed rates to ensure relief to the consumers.

The meeting which was held under the Chairmanship of Additional District Collector Noman Hafeez was also attended by trade bodies members. The DPCC re-fixed the price of 20kg wheat flour bag at Rs730, mutton at Rs490 per kg, beef at Rs240 per kg, rice Karnal (new) at Rs74 and old at Rs102 per kg, rice KS386 at Rs42 per kg, sugar at Rs59 per kg, white gram Canada at Rs100 per kg, Dasi gram at Rs95 per kg, black gram at Rs75 per kg, milk at Rs60 per kg and yogurt at Rs65 per kg.

On the occasion, the ADC directed the Special Price Magistrates to continue crackdowns on profiteers so as to enable the consumers get essential commodities at fixed rates.

According to the direction of the Punjab government, minimum wages for unskilled workers has been fixed at Rs480 per day.

DCO ASSURANCE: DCO Muhammad Usman has assured a delegation of the Press Club led by its Chairman Rana Muhammad Saeed to provide Rs300,000 to provide missing facilities in the Press Club Hafizabad.  The chairman and other members expressed their gratitude to the DCO for his noble gesture.
