ISLAMABAD - Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan Saturday said that it was a matter of concern that Chairman NADRA Usman Mobin proceeded abroad on a two-week visit instead of appearing before the election tribunal probing allegations of rigging in NA-122.

A statement issued by PTI’s central secretariat, quoting a message of party chairman on Twitter, said that Chairman National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) had to appear before the election tribunal but at the last moment, the tribunal was told that he was on a foreign tour. “Thus it looks that NADRA chief is facing government’s pressure,” he said.

Khan also showed his apprehensions over the interim report of vote audit of NA-122 submitted by NADRA before the tribunal. “NADRA has changed the facts in the interim reports that it had itself produced earlier,” he said adding that this had no example in previous cases.
