QUETTA - A security conference held at headquarters of Southern Command, presided by Major General Naveed Hayat Khan, took stock of the situation in the aftermath of the Mastung tragedy, said an ISPR press release here on Saturday.

The meeting which was attended by inspector general of Balochistan police, additional inspector general, commissioner Quetta Division, top army and civilian officers condemned the dastardly act and discussed in detail the factors and also made a plan to check the occurrence of any similar incident in future.

The participants appealed to the people to be aware of designs of enemy. The organisations that were responsible for the genocide were working for the evil agenda of RAW, Indian counter intelligence agency, the press release said. The brutal killings were to sow a seed of hatred between Pushtuns and Baloch people, it said.

The participants appealed to the people of the province to maintain unity in their ranks and to assist the government in maintenance of peace and tranquility between different communities. The conference held out a strong assurance that culprits involved in mass killing of innocent people would not be spared, arrested and dealt with sternly.
