DASKA
After the five day protest and arson by the people especially lawyers, the normalcy returned to Daska and its adjoining areas here on Saturday.
All the shops, bazaars, markets, business centres remained opened with usual flow of traffic on all the inter-city roads in Daska which witnessed violence for five days after the brutal murder of two senior lawyers Rana Khalid Abbas and Muhammad Irfan Chohan by inspector Shehzad Warraich during a clash in front of the Daska city police station.
However, the lawyers marched on various city roads in Daska city to lodge their protest against the brutal murders of their senior colleagues.
Meanwhile, the office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police has started working temporarily in the small sized judicial complex (Bakhashi Khana) adjacent to the Daska City police station.
A mob including lawyers had set ablaze the office of DSP Daska with complete official record while protesting against the brutal killing. The lawyers’ community urged the Punjab government to establish a monument at the spot where the two Daska based senior lawyers were gunned down by accused police inspector. The lawyers said that early establishment of a monument in memory of the slain lawyers was vital to pay rich tributes to the slain lawyers.
