4-kg Hashish, 40 litres liquor recovered from drug peddlers

SIALKOT   -  Police claimed to have arrested five drug peddlers from various parts of the district and recovered Hashish and liquor from their possession. 

In a crackdown against drug peddlers and criminals, the police arrested five drug peddlers identified as Hamid, Shahid Mehmood, Sufian Ali, Shabbir Hussain and Abdul Hameed and recovered 40 litres liquor and 4-kg hashish from their possession. Cases have been registered against the accused. 

Man held for flying kite

A crackdown on kite-sellers and kite-flyers is continuing across the Sialkot district currently.

Sabz Pir police arrested a man, Shabbir, over violation of a ban on kite flying in the district, during a raid here on Sunday. Police also recovered 18 kites of different size and string rolls from him. Police have registered a case and sent the accused behind the bars.

Four held for decanting gas

Four shopkeepers were booked for decanting LPG, in various areas of the district.   During a continued drive against illegal business of decanting, police teams along 

with Civil Defence officer raided at different areas of the district and arrested shopkeepers- Afzal, Umer Saddique, Imran Haider and Muhammad Shahzad red-handed while refilling gas cylinders illegally. Cases have been registered against the accused.
