KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain on Thursday appealed to the philanthropists and the people of Pakistan to give donations for the victims of Balochistan earthquake. In his statement, he said that the earthquake destroyed various cities of Balochistan, in which hundreds of people lost their lives and thousands homeless. "These homeless people need immediate help in shape of camps, blankets, warm cloths and others to save them from the cold weather." Altaf said that the Kidmat-e-Khalq foundation (KKF) of MQM had send several relief groups for the victims of earthquake disaster but still the people of quake-effected areas need more relief goods. He appealed to the peoples to donate blankets, warm cloths, camps and other relief items for the quake-victims at KKF office. However, the MQM chief phoned the MQM Balochistan Organiser Yousaf Shehwani and asked details about the quake-disaster. He lauded the efforts of MQM Balochistan workers over the relief activities.
