KARACHI - As many as three people, including an infant, were killed on Thursday in various incidents in various parts of the city while two bodies, including a woman, were also found from different localities, said the police. As per detail, a person named Shameem, 37, s/o Abdul Jabbar was shot dead within the jurisdiction of Pakistan Bazaar Police Station in Orangi Town.  Deceased was working in a shop near Eidhgha Ground. He was shot dead while sleeping at the shop. But local residents said deceased was sitting in the shop when two armed motorcyclists reached there and opened firing on him. As a result, he died on the spot. The police suspected that personnel enmity was the cause behind the killing. Similarly, a stray bullet killed an infant within the jurisdiction of Nazimabad Police Station. Three-month old Mikahil of Umar Farooq Colony received a bullet injury in his head and was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed hospital in critical condition but could not survive. In another incident, a speeding bus crushed a 15-year-old student to death in Shah Faisal Colony area. Deceased was crossing the road when the bus hit him. He was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre in critical condition but succumbed to died during treatment. He was identified as Waseem s/o Saleem, a resident of Malir Khokharapar. In another road mishap, a minor boy was killed in Qasba Colony. A speedy vehicle hit 7-year-old Sadaqat s/o Sharafat Ali and killed him on the spot.
