ISLAMABAD Contradicting the statement of Inspector General of Police NWFP, Interior Minister Rehman Malik alleged that Taliban were involved in the bloody incident of Meena Bazaar Peshawar, claiming the lives of more than hundred people. Talking to media men at Islamabad Police Lines here on Friday, Interior Minister said that Taliban had been destroying schools and killing innocent people in NWFP and other areas and now they had again attacked innocent people in Peshawar. It merits mention here that Inspector General of Police NWFP Malik Naveed had also given a statement, in the subcommittee of National Assembly Standing Committee on Human Rights meeting held on Thursday, that India, Afghanistan and Israel were responsible for the bomb blast in Peshawar. He added that the blast was carried out on the pattern of RAW attacks in 1980. Meanwhile, some media reports stated that Taliban leadership had denied their involvement in the Peshawar blast. Earlier, Interior Minister Rehman Malik and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited Islamabad Police Lines to pay tribute to the martyrs of Islamabad Police.
