CHANGA MANGA - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Rana Shaukat Ali was burnt to death by unidentified persons who set ablaze his Autaq/Dera (place to host visitors) in Changa Manga area late Saturday night. Rana Shaukat was a close relative of Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Iqbal and an active party leader in Changa Manga. According to police, PML-N president in Changa Manga was sleeping in the Autaq, located near his house, when unknown men came to the place. They first tied the PML-N leader with ropes and then set the Autaq on fire. The room was burnt to ashes and Rana Shaukat was burnt to death. According to son of the deceased, the family members came to know about the incident in the morning. The area police have started the investigations. The funeral was attended by Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Iqbal, MNA Rana Muhammad Ishaque, MPA Sheikh Allauddin, former MNA Rana Hayat Khan and thousands of other people. Rana Shaukat was laid to rest at the local graveyard. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressing concern over the gruesome murder of PML-N member ordered immediate arrest of culprits. Taking serious note of the incident, he instructed the IG Police to report him within the next 24 hours. Rana Shaukat Mehmood a PML-N office bearer was burned to death by some unknown killers at his Dera at Changa Manga.
