RAHIM YAR KHAN - PPP South Punjab President Makhdoom Shahabuddin has said that caretaker setup in December is merely a hypothesis.

While talking to the media on the eve of a reception arranged in his honour by the party workers here, he claimed that the PPP was not in need of towering personalities, rather it needed only “general will.” “We have to face hardships regarding formation of new provinces because it needs amendment in the Constitution but the PPP lacks 2/3 majority in the assemblies”, he pointed out. He further said that the PML-N did not cooperate with the government regarding formation of parliamentary commission on new provinces. Commenting on Ephedrine Case, he said that some “Machiavellian actors” hatched conspiracy in this case, adding, “I am thankful to the judiciary and media which supported me impartially.”
