BAHAWALPUR - The College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVAS), Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB) and the Hasho Foundation have signed a MoU to provide technical/professional assistance for Veterinary training to females of the rural areas of Bahawalpur under the USAid Project here the other day.

In this connection, Hasho Foundation Project Director Col (r) Muhammad Sadiq held a meeting with the IUB, VC Dr Muhammad Mukhtar to finalise the arrangements for the training programme.  The VC appreciated the proposed programme and remarked that the scheme would bring revolutionary changes in the life of rural women and their families.  He said that the project would help improve the financial condition and life style of the whole village.  Under the programme around 120 females of Bahawlpur and Yazman villages would be given training under a proper syllabus for livestock fodder and veterinary care.

On the occasion, the Hasho Foundation Project Director assured complete cooperation to the IUB to make the project a success.

Desert Rangers Commander Brig Saleem Qadir, IUB College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Principal Dr Abdul Samad, Director Research Dr Muhammad Asghar Hashmi, Science Faculty Dean Dr Sh Aftab Ahmed and senior faculty members of the university were also present on the occasion.
