Rescue 1122 actively responded on Eid


RAWALPINDI  - As many as 400 rescuers remained on special duties in District Rawalpindi in District Control Room, Emergency Rescue Stations with nine fully equipped emergencies ambulances, 10 fire vehicles, one water boozer and three specialized vehicles while Rescue 1122 responded 177 emergencies calls and 171 victims rescued during Eid Holidays.
Director General, Emergency Service Rescue1122, Dr. Rizwan Naseer appreciated the rescuers for emergencies preparedness of emergency arrangements during Eid Days in all districts of Punjab.
Emergency vehicles in this regards were deputed at all Eid Prayers sites and sensitive areas along with trained emergency staff to provide immediate pre-hospital emergency cover. Emergency Officer included Emergency Doctor who supervised the arrangements dur to the public gatherings. Rescue posts had been established at Chandni Chowk Murree Road, Pirwadhai Morr, Civil Lines Station Kahcheri Chowk, Kalma Chowk Station, Bahria Town G.T. Road, GPO Chowk Sadder, Rawal Chowk, 22 No. chungi, Tench Bhata, Gawal Mandi (Children Park), Liaqat Bagh, Nawaz Shareef Park, Jinnah Park and Ayub Park.
The Emergency Service, Rescue 1122, Rawalpindi responded 177 emergencies during Eid Days. Out of the emergency calls during Eid Days 103 were Road Traffic Accidents, five Fire Incidents, seven Crime Incidents, one Animal Rescue and 61 Medical Emergencies.
All emergency calls had been responded with average response time of less than seven minutes in District Rawalpindi.
The Director General, Rescue 1122, appreciated all the rescuers, who sacrifice their Eid Holidays for safety of community. He further requested public to dial emergency number with moral responsibilities. Only timely call can ensure timely response in case of any emergency or disaster, he added.
