ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) is holding an exhibition squash gala in collaboration with the FCNA in Gilgit tomorrow (Friday). PSF secretary Group Captain Amir Nawaz told The Nation on Wednesday that they wanted to take their top players for the event but due to the PSA commitments, they had to content with Awais Khan, Waqas Mehboob, Bilal Zakir and Gilgit's local upcoming squash player Fazle Wadood. “We are holding these matches for the preparations of mega first ever-invitational squash championship early next year, in which top eight to 12 players of the country will take part. We are aiming to promote squash in this region and it is hoped we will find raw talent from Gilgil/Baltistan and after training them well, we will transform them into one of the world’s best.”–Staff Reporter
