BAHAWALPUR

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by the Interactive Resource Centre and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

Under this MoU, the Inter Active Resource Centre would provide facilities for the IUB’s Distance Education Programme/Courses. Under this programme, initially the IRC experts would provide educational assistance to the students in the IUB’s IT, Educational Training, Media Studies, Psychology, Engineering, Linguistic and M.Com courses and various programmes of the electronic Media production will be produced.

Dr Rana Muhammad Shehzad will be the Coordinator of this programme. The Director, IRC informed that his organisation had already been working with the national and international organisations including Hazara University, Peshawar University, FC College University, Lahore, Lahore Women College University, Lahore and Sindh University, Jamshoro  and now with the Islamia University of Bahawalpur which would be a good addition in progress in the Electronic Media Production and Web TV.

The Director, Institute of Communication Studies, Punjab University, Lahore, Prof.Dr.Noshina Saleem and representatives of different Media houses were also present on the occasion.

On the occasion, IUB Vice-Chancellor Dr Muhammad Mukhtar said that the use of latest technology on priority basis is the need of the hour to meet the current-day demands in education sector. Through modern technology, researchers and students can make progress in every field. The vice-chancellor also visited the Head Office of the IRC. Later a documentary of the IRC on “Mera Pakistan” was shown.
