WELLINGTON:- A broken thumb has ruled New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson out of the rest of the Black Caps' Bangladesh tour and their trip to Sri Lanka, officials said Wednesday. Williamson was struck on the thumb fielding at point during New Zealand's defeat in the first one-day international on Tuesday, immediately leaving the field and playing no further part in the game. Black Caps physiotherapist Paul Close said an X-ray confirmed he suffered a fracture in his left thumb and would have to return home to New Zealand.–AFP
