Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan has decided that all those who are doing multiple jobs will now have to decide on only one job. Many coaches and national selectors, including chief selector Moin Khan and his committee members are all doing dual or, in some cases, even triple jobs. The junior chief selector, Basit Ali and almost all members of the national junior selection committee have more than one job.

Even members of the Board of Governors have dual jobs, such as Najam Sethi, who is also working for Geo TV channel and Shakeel Shaikh who also works for The News newspaper. PCB should remove all employees who have dual roles, either they work for PCB or they work for another organization. Now there is news that Najam Sethi may be Pakistan’s nominee for the post of ICC president. I think PCB should nominate people like Arif Ali Khan Abbasi, Majid Khan or Ehsan Mani who have excellent reputation and goodwill in international circles; as PCB is seeking improvement in its relations with ICC members, along with the possibility of inviting foreign teams for cricket tours to Pakistan in the near future.
