LAHORE - For the first time in the history of Pakistan, a police officer, SP Ammara Athar, has won Eisenhower Fellowship (Woman Leadership Award) for the year 2015.

The award is given to those people who can do something for peace, prosperity in the world. The US President or any other top dignitary distributes this award among the winners.

Ammara Athar is wife of SSP Athar Waheed and daughter of former Additional IG Rana Abid Saeed. She was first ever woman SP posted in Lahore. She also worked as ASP Bhalwal, ASP Lahore Cantt, SP Iqbal Town, SP Lower Mall and SP Sadr.
