LAHORE - The ongoing Descon Super League 2017 entered the quarterfinal stage after eight matches of the league were decided here at various grounds of the city.

In the first round of the league, the first match of the league was played in Valencia Ground between Fatima Group and Nespak which was won by Nespak by seven wickets and Rashid Mehmood emerged as man of the match. The second match was played in Race Course Ground-1 where Meezan Bank emerged as winners by routing Tetrapak by six runs and Mohsin Pervaiz was named player of the match.

The third match at Race Course Ground-2 saw Nestle thrashing PC by 169 runs as Hamid Hayat the top performer. At Arfa Karim Ground, fourth match was clinched by Descon who trounced PTV by 85 runs and Syed Mujahid Ali of Descon was star of the day.

The first match of the second round was held at Valencia Ground where ICI defeated Jazz by 35 runs and Hamza Mohsin was hero of the day. The second match was played in Race Course Ground-1 where FBR toppled Honda by 61 runs and Yari Khan was man of the match. The third match saw CCI (Coke) beating Akzonobel by five wickets with Saqib Butt emerging as best performer. The last match of this round was played at Arfa Karim Ground where Packages beat Abacus by one wicket and Shahid Islam emerged as player of the match.

Cagdas Donmez (Turkey), Director Legal and Public Affairs, Enver Say (Turkey), Director Operations and Serhat Utkinar (Turkey) Group HSE Manager were the chief guests and distributed prizes among the winners and top performers.
