Bail granted to accused

The Sindh High Court while declaring a police encounter held in PIB neighbourhood as suspicious, granted bail to the accused who was languishing in the jail for three years.

A division bench of the SHC heard bail application of an accused in police encounter case Rafiqullah. During the course of hearing, the court observed that as per police record the accused received a bullet in the head during the encounter and was arrested in injured condition.

But police failed to produce any medical certificate to substantiate its claims or any other evidence.
