Islamabad - The HEC awarded 1,246 scholarships to the students during the years 2012-13 and 2013-14. According to an HEC source, 19 scholarships were awarded to the students of AJK, 40 to Balochistan, 12 to FATA, 20 to GB, 30 to Islamabad and 194 to KP, 521 to Punjab and 118 to Sindh in 2012-13. Similarly, 14 scholarships were awarded to the students of Azad Jammu Kashmir, 23 to Balochistan, two to FATA, one to Gilgit-Baltistan, eight to Islamabad, 48 to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 142 to Punjab and 54 to Sindh in the year 2013-14.
