AIOU PTC/CT, B.Ed exams to start from Oct 12

Islamabad - Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will conduct final exams of its teachers’ training programmes for the Semester Spring, 2015 from October 12.
Roll Number slips of ATTC, PTC, CT and B.Ed programmes have been dispatched to all enrolled students by Postal Mail Service, said a university spokesman while talking to APP Friday. According to the Controller Exams, Roll No slips alongwith Date Sheet have also been placed at the University’s website www.aiou.edu.pk for the convenience of students. In order to facilitate the students, 850 Exams centres have been set-up across the country at their nearest places or given addresses, he said.
The students who have yet not received their Roll No slips have been advised to contact the nearest AIOU Regional Office or Superintendent, Teacher Education Section, Examination Department for issuance of duplicate slip.
The students have also been advised to read the instructions mentioned on Roll No Slip carefully before entering the Examination Centre. They are required to bring along original National Identity.
Meanwhile, the University is gradually moving towards automation system to bring about transparency and quality in the overall examination system, the Controller Exams added.
The matters relating to evaluation of examination’s papers and announcement of results are being streamlined.
The University is actively working for qualitative improvement in the university’s overall system.
The students’ support system has been strengthened through some new initiatives and setting up a comprehensive online complaint management centre.
Now there is considerable reduction in the students’ complaints with regard to admissions and examination as well as delivery of books.
The Vice Chancellor Dr Shahid Siddiqui recently visited the University’s regional offices at the provincial headquarters to get feed-back on the students’ related issues.
During the visit, he also held separate meetings with relevant staff and tutors to seek their suggestions for achieving the desired results.
