Islamabad - Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has expedited the process to mail study books for its around 0.7 million enrolled students across the country for autumn-2015 semester.
The mailing pocess is being undertaken in collaboration with Pakistan Post, which has set up its permanent office here at the University’s main campus. The Post office will ensure books-delivery within 36-hours of its dispatch.
Books along with allied material to 2-lack students of CT, PTC, FA and B.Ed programmes have already been sent while the rest of the mailing will be completed within next four weeks. A new computerized tracking system has been introduced, facilitating its thousands of students to check books’ mailing status.
A new website (mailing.aiou.edu.pk) has been launched for this purpose. A student could easily find out the books’ mailing position by entering his roll number or admission’s challan number in the mail. The students are also being informed about the books through text messages.
