Islamabad - The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack on Bacha Khan University Charsadda.
“The martyred and injured innocent people including students, teachers and other university staff are in our thoughts,” said a statement issued by HEC yesterday.
The HEC has also announced to observe three-day mourning in its Islamabad headquarters and regional offices to express solidarity with the martyred and affected families in their pressing times.
“Such a brutal attack on a higher education institution is testimony to the brutality of terrorists who had earlier targeted Army Public School, Peshawar, and have now attacked another soft target,” the statement said.
“The HEC management and staff pay homage to the martyrs and those injured in the tragic incident, and is praying for the souls of martyrs to rest in eternal peace and injured to recover soon,” it said.
