PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan has said that the Shaheed Principal of Army Public School, Tahira Qazi, deserves due national award in acknowledgement of her brave struggle to protect the school students during the attack on the school.

“The way she contacted Rapid Response Force and ambulance service in a critical state of circumstances, is exemplary,” he said after offering Fateha for the eternal peace of the departed soul of the martyrs at Landi Arbab, the native village of the bereaved family in Peshawar, on Friday.

He added, the principal indeed served the institution like a towering personality of the teaching profession and made her services immortal by preferring to sacrifice for the students rather protecting her own-self.

The Governor expressed sympathies with Col. (Retd) Zafarullah Qazi; the spouse of the Shaheed, and the other members of the bereaved family on this occasion.
