All united to foil evil designs
It is a bitter fact that Pakistan continues to face host of external and internal challenges to its security and stability mainly emanating from hostile neighboring countries . It is good that the security related situation in the region as well as beyond is frequently and continuously being reviewed at the appropriate high level .
An important meeting of the National Security Committee held in Islamabad under chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has quite rightly and firmly resolved that the nation and its armed forces are united and fully alert and capable of thwarting any evil design and as such no hostile action or activity by the adversaries can harm Pakistan’s interests in any manner .
It is pertinent to mention here that NSC meeting has been held in the backdrop of situation in Baluchistan, terrorist attack in Bajaur , violations of the Line of Control (LoC) by Indian forces and unfolding events in the country’s extended neighborhood of the Middle East.
According to the reports in the newspapers, after a detailed briefing by the Foreign Secretary on the latest developments in the regional security situation with a focus on on the events rapidly unfolding in the Middle East, the NSC unanimously agreed that it is of critical importance for Pakistan to continue playing its proactive role in the best interests of the Muslim Ummah while firmly adhering to its bilateral commitments. The NSC also strongly condemned the recent attacks on the Pakistan Army post in Bajaur Agency and police officials in Quetta and expressed deep concern over the now increasingly exposed activities of hostile intelligence agencies topped by RAW to destabilize Pakistan.
Security situation Baluchistan province also came under discussion at the important national forum and duly appreciated the significant improvement which has been brought about by the armed forces and law enforcement agencies through their tireless efforts. Keeping the people in the loop about what the federal government as well as the armed forces are doing to tackle all security related challenges boldly, courageously and unitedly is indeed very commendable and appreciable. Thanks.
