Hospital gift
A fifty-bed state of the art hospital is being constructed in tehsil Mankera district Bhakkar by Jassim and Hamid bin Jasim Charity Foundation of brotherly country Qatar which is quite appreciable indeed. Almost fifty percent construction work of the hospital has been completed, and the rest will be completed soon.
According to the reports in the newspapers, Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Minister Khwaja Imran Nazir while addressing the delegation of the foundation appreciated the donation and said that both Pakistan and Qatar have brotherly and most friendly relations. The gift of the hospital for the people of the province is a goodwill gesture and quite commendable. The provincial government is profoundly thankful to the brotherly country Qatar for this gift which is symbolic of deep friendship between the two counties.
He told the delegation that the provincial government is committed to providing most modern healthcare facilities to the people in urban as well as rural areas. In this regard, the first phase of revamping of 40 tehsil and district hospitals across the province is in progress.
The delegation apprised the provincial minister about the construction work progress as well as procurement and installation of the machinery and equipment. The hospital gift will certainly go a long way in promoting and strengthening existing friendly relations between Qatar and Pakistan and lead to boosting economic, trade and cooperation.
