LAHORE   -  Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Sirajul Haq has expressed surprise over the Prime Minister’s remarks about the performance of his government, saying the ruling party has given nothing to the masses during last two and half years except poverty, inflation and unemployment. Talking to party leaders at Mansoora on Monday, he said the people were desperate due flawed economic policies of this government and wanted to get rid of the set-up as soon as possible. He said the two major parties in parliament backed this regime instead of fighting for the public cause. He held the former government equally responsible for the plight of the masses.  Sirajul Haq said the Prime Minister was trying to run the country like an NGO. He said a country could not be run on donations.   He said the former and present rulers had failed badly to resolve miseries of the masses instead the ruling elite tried to multiply the problems of the people.
