Model Town incident report not completed yet: Mashhood

LAHORE- Law Minister of Punjab Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said that the investigation report of the Model Town Incident would be made public once it is completed.

Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan, speaking to journalists today, said that some aspects of the report had not been covered yet. He added that no one was held accountable in the investigation report. He added that a new joint investigation team would be formed to probe the incident.

The law minister also said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif believes in merit and the provincial government will take all steps for its supremacy.

Mashhood, while commenting on the sit-ins of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) in Islamabad, said that the tour of Chinese President Xi Jinping to the country was delayed due to the protests of the two parties. “The nation itself will hold the protesters accountable”, he added.
