Patient, police team rescued from skin clinic

ISLAMABAD Shalimar Police have booked two doctors along with three guards of a private skin clinic located at Matghalla Road on the charges of making hostage a patient as well as police team, threatening, injuring police officials and showing resistance in the official duty the of police. The police claimed that among one of the accused doctors, Dr Fazeela is the daughter of woman parliamentarian, Begum Nasim Akhtar Chaudhry, elected on women reserved seats on the PPP ticket. According to Shalimar Police, it did not succumb to the pressure of woman parliamentarian as Nasim Akhtar remained in the police station till late at Tuesday night to save her daughter from the legal action. The police have registered an FIR No. 514/10 under Sections of 506 (2), 342, 354, 337 and 353 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against Dr Fazeela, Dr Ikram and three guards of Skin Clinic located at House no. 518, Marghalla Road, F-10/2 Sector. The police have also arrested two guards of the hospital namely Rooh Allah and Mohammad Saleem. Shalimar Police on the other day rescued the woman and the police team from the private clinic who had been made hostage allegedly by these two doctors and three armed guards of the hospital. Interestingly, the doctors had also made hostage the police team headed by Sub-inspector, Shahbaz Ahmed that had gone to the clinic to free Rizwana Begum who was detained there allegedly by Dr Fazeela and Dr Ikram. According to details, Rizwana Begum was getting skin treatment from the skin clinic run by Dr Ikram. Dr Fazeela and Dr Ikram made her hostage allegedly over the issue of non-payment of fee when she went there on Tuesday evening for treatment. However, Rizwana succeeded to inform the police through her cell phone. When the police team headed by a Sub-Inspector, Shahbaz Ahmed reached there, the armed guards of the hospital took them inside the clinic on the pretext of sensitising them on the issue and also made them hostage. Sub-Inspector brought the matter into the notice of SHO Shalimar Police Station and another police team headed by SI Rasheed Ahmed of Shalimar Police Station rescued the patient and the police team.
