At least seven persons were killed and 15 others injured in collision between two vehicles here in Muzaffaragarh on Thursday. According to police, a Layyah bound passenger van coming from Multan, collided head-on with a tractor trolley coming from opposite direction in Chowk Sawar Shaheed locality of Muzaffargarh. As a result of accident six people were killed on the spot while 16 others sustained injuries. The locals reached the scene and on self assistance basis started the rescue operation. The injured people were first rushed to Basic Health Unit (BHU) Chowk Sarwar Shaheed where another injured succumbed to his wounds raising death toll to seven. Some among the injured with serious wounds were referred to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ). Eye witnesses and injured passengers said that the accident took place due to reckless driving and over speeding of the van driver. The police took both vehicles into custody and started the investigations.
