Martyrdom of Hazrat Umar (RA) observed

KARACHI – Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat, former outfit of Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan, observed Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) Day and took out the rally from Nagan Chowrangi to Tibet Centre here on Friday. According to details, scores of participants affiliated with SSP were gathered at Siddique Akber Mosque, head office of the SSP located at Nagan Chowrangi, marched toward the Tibet Centre on several motorbikes and cars.  Participants violated the Section 144 imposed on pillion riding across the city while carrying flags of SSP and demanded holyday on this day. Heavy contingent of police deployed across the route of the rally and roads were also blocked. The rally reached Gurumandir intersection from Patial Para and turned Marton Quarters and reached Single Free Corridor of Sadder to reached Tibbat Center MA Jinnah Road. Police have erected barricades from Gurumandir to Nomaish Chowrangi to avoid any sectarian clash. It is pertinent to mention here that last year same rally was collided with rival sectarian group at Nomaish Chowrangi where a Shia scout was killed and two others were wounded. Maulana Orangzaib Farooqi while addressing the rally at Tibet Centre and highlighted the sacrifices of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA).
