Judo championships rescheduled

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) secretary Masood Ahmed has said that the 6th National Senior, 1st Junior (U-17) and 1st Inter-Provisional Judo Women Championships (2013), which were earlier scheduled to be held in Lahore last month are rescheduled and now would be held from January 28 to February 2, 2014. He said all the national and international female players would participate and Army was the defending champion. Besides the provinces, Islamabad, FATA, AJK, Gilgit/Baltistan along with Army, Wapda, Navy, Police, Railway and HEC would participate, while DHA has also requested to participate and the PJF has decided to allow a token participation. Winners of championships will participate in South Asian Judo Championships to be held in Nepal and Asian Games in South Korea in April.–Staff Reporter
