CM pays surprise visit to Tughlaq House

Karachi - Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah paid a surprise visit to Tughlaq House on Tuesday, old Sindh Secretariat and checked the muster roll of officers and attendance of staff.

The chief minister visited all the offices housed in Tughlaq House such as Home, agriculture, education, labour, industries, development & planning, chief minister’s inspection team and others.

All the secretaries were present in their offices, but some senior officers had yet to turn up. The chief minister directed the Chief Secretary Rizwan Memon, who was accompanying him, to issue show-cause notices to the absentees.

He visited each and every floor and expressed displeasure to see heaps of old files lying and broken furniture in the corridors of the secretariat.

He directed chief secretary to issue a circular to remove dumped old files from the corridors and keep the secretariat neat and clean.

The chief minister also expressed his dismay at the incomplete renovation of Tughlaq House and directed the chief secretary to get it completed.
