KARACHI - Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation & Narcotics Control Mukesh Kumar Chawla has said that during the current fiscal year (FY); from July to October, Rs19802.620 million had been recovered in various heads while in the same period last year Rs 15308.085 were recovered .

This he said while presiding over a meeting in his office on Wednesday. Secretary Excise and Taxation & Narcotics Abdul Haleem Shaikh, Director General Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui and other officers also attended the meeting.

While briefing the meeting DG Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui told that Rs2194 million were recovered under the head of Motor Vehicle Tax, Rs14870.068 million under the head of infrastructure cess , Rs180.478 million under the head of professional tax while Rs910.103 as property tax.

Provincial minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla directed the officers to speed up their efforts to achieve the targets, adding it was need of the hour to be honest, hardworking and sincere to the cause.

He said it was our duty to facilitate the people so that we could be able to achieve our tax targets.
