All and sundry wants Muttahida banned

Protest rallies, sit-ins flay Altaf’s madness

FAISALABAD/SARGODHA/GUJRANWALA/multan-Different political, religious, industrial and other organisations demanded that the government should ban Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) which as they said has become a threat to the sovereignty, integrity and solidarity of Pakistan.
They said that MQM chief Altaf Hussain repeatedly used obnoxious and blasphemous language against the country and Pakistani forces. They said that no patriotic Pakistani will tolerate it.
Led by Anjuman Tajran city president Shahid Razzaq, the protesters staged a protest demonstration at Ghanta Ghar raising slogans against MQM and Altaf Hussain.
They said that anti-state elements were behind MQM and Altaf. Another group of traders led by Asif Bhala along with dozens of traders took out a rally against Altaf. They chanted slogans against MQM and in favour of the country such as Pakistan Zindabad.
All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association (APTPMA) passed a resolution against Altaf and MQM terming it an anti-Pakistan party. APTPMA also passed resolution demanding that Gwadar and CPEC project should be completed at any cost.
Likewise, Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) held a meeting. FCCI members said that Pakistan was created due to unprecedented sacrifices of the Muslims of Subcontinent. M Nawaz, the president of FCCI, said Quaid-i-Azam led the struggle of independence and convinced colonial rulers that Muslims want a separate homeland and are not ready to accept the hegemony of Hindus. Unluckily, India planted its agents in the form of Altaf Hussain and its intelligence agency RAW played an instrumental role in politically hijacking the city of Quaid through their fascist activities, he said.
Moreover, different political and laborer leaders also criticised Altaf Hussain and attacks on media houses. Main Abdul Qayyum, chairman of Labour Qaumi Movement, said that Karachi is the economic lifeline of Pakistan. He further said that recent insurgency in Held Kashmir forced India to openly condemn Pakistan through its agent that was sitting in England and was issuing directive to its followers to attack the media houses.
Political leaders Farrukh Habib of PTI, KH Islam, Sher Ali of PML.N and Rana Aftab Ahmad of PPP said that It was actually a reprisal by Indian primer Modi who was perturbed over the fluttering of Pakistani flag in Indian Held Kashmir. They said that Altaf Hussain used the obnoxious and blasphemous language which has exposed his ulterior motives. They added that earlier, MQM was forced to accept the presence of rangers in Karachi as the police and civil agencies were failed to maintain the law and order.
Immediately after the operation of Rangers, the MQM started hurling unfounded and politically motivated allegations that their workers are victimised.
Sunni Ittehad Council Chairman Sahabzada Hamid Raza said that actually these elements were involved in extortion and target killing of innocent people in Karachi. He condemned the recent statement of Altaf Hussain who had hatched a deep-rooted conspiracy of converting Karachi into an independent territory of Jinnahpur.
He said that RAW fully supported it and patriotic Pakistani were eliminated under a vicious plan to pave the way for the MQM to get political millage in Karachi in order to protect its terrorists and target killers.
He said that now, as the MQM has been exposed, the government must ban the organization which has become a threat to the sovereignty, integrity and solidarity of Pakistan.
Protesters in Sargodha demanded to take stern action against traitors of the country. The demonstration was staged on Azad Road where the participants shouted slogans of Pakistan Zindabad. Journalists Abdul Samad Shaheen, Syed Shahzad Sherazi, Shaheen Farooqi, Ch. Zafar Mehmood, Imran Goraya, Hanan Chaudhary, Akram Amir, Asjad Chaudhary, Zaheer Khan and others condemned MQM attacks on media houses and torturing journalists and cameramen.
The speakers included PPP leader Asif Khan, PTI leader Zeeshan Haidari, Isaf Foundation Chairman Hafiz Abdul Rauf and General Secretary Anjuman Tajran Naeem Kapoor. They said that it had been clearly disclosed that MQM worked upon anti-state and anti-social plan which had been managed by RAW. The speakers added that the national enemies could not digest the development and prosperity of our motherland.
People held different rallies and staged demonstrations at various parts of the city against Altaf Hussain. The participants holding banners chanted slogans against MQM and Altaf Hussain. The speakers condemned the anti-state speech of Altaf Hussain and demanded the government to take strong action against Altaf Hussain and MQM.
Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) President Fareed Mughis Sheikh said that no one is above Pakistan and the trading community strongly condemns making of statements against Pakistan.
He said that attack on media houses was an attack on freedom of expression therefore people involved in such heinous crime should be taken to task immediately. He said that MQM chief is playing in the hands of our enemies and he is making such statements to appease them. “Strict action should be taken against people who attack state and media houses,” he further said. Senior Vice President of MCCI Ata Shafi Tanvir also condemned the anti Pakistan statement of MQM chief. Local traders, businessmen and different social and political organisation staged demonstrations and organised rallies to condemn his tirade.
