India asked to follow Indus Water Treaty

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE The government must ask India not to build dams on Pakistani rivers and follow Indus Water Treaty and dialogue should not be started until water issue comes on top of agenda. This was said by Pakistan Muthida Kissan Mahaz in a press release issued here on Monday. India was stealing our water, while the government wanted to give India the status of most favoured nation, which is unacceptable. Terming the Indian offer for exporting electricity to Pakistan, Head of the Mahaz Ayoub Mayo said that how India could export electricity when it is facing loadshedding crisis. Referring the upcoming visit of Indian Trade Secretary, he said all the stakeholder would condemn the visit and would announce their strategy in a joint conference, which would held on April 27, he added.
