Malaysia offers package to Pakistani tourists

KARACHI  - Tourism Malaysia together with GR Travel officially launched packages to Malaysia targeting families. 

A statement here on Sunday said that the packages were officially launched by Datuk Sri Mirza Mohammad Taiyab, Director General—Tourism Malaysia, at Malaysia booth during Pakistan Travel Mart at Karachi Expo Centre. Commenting on the packages, Datuk Seri Mirza said: “We welcome all our Pakistani friends to visit Malaysia and experience lush green forests, crystal clear beaches, international standards theme parks and amazing shopping experience. 

“For those who have already visited Malaysia in the past, they can explore other parts of Malaysia such as the beautiful east cost, pangkor island, City of Ipoh and Johor Bahru.” 

Tourism Malaysia also participated in the Tourism Conference by sharing their success story about promoting Malaysia as a tourist destination all around the world over the years. 

Tourism Malaysia also hosted a Networking Dinner for the top tour operators in Karachi. During the Networking dinner Datuk Seri Mirza said: “This is certainly a special event for us both. 

For you, it is the inaugural year for the Pakistani Travel Mart, and for us, it marks our first year of participation. My fellow delegates and I are excited to be here, and we hope that this marks the start of a new annual tradition. 

“This year I am delighted to lead the Malaysian delegation which is represented by 17 organisations consisting of travel agents, tourism product owners, hoteliers, Malindo Airlines, Islamic Tourism Centre, as well as senior officials and colleagues from Tourism Malaysia.” 

He was of the view that this is a small but formidable team, and we look forward to working with you, and welcoming more Pakistani tourists to Malaysia in the coming years.
