Aamir Khan rejoins MQM

KARACHI - Chief of Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqqiqi of his own faction Aamir Khan on Wednesday announced to rejoin the Muttahida Qaumi Movement after a rivalry of two decades and tendered his apology with the party leadership and the families of the martyred party workers. Aamir Khan former senior member of MQM left the party in 1991 and formed its own party MQM-Haqqiqi with Afaq Ahmed in 1992 but the association of both the leaders ended after the differences in 2006. Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain has accepted Aamir Khans apology, making way for him to rejoin the party and reinstate his party membership. The family members of the MQM martyrs, missing workers & MQM Founder leader Altaf Hussain have pardoned the former leader of the MQM, Aamir Khan at his request to forgive him. This announcement was made in a large gathering of the family members of the martyrs and missing workers at Lal Qila Ground. Members of the Co-ordination Committee were also present on the occasion. On the occassion, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain announced to pardon Aamir Khan after the family members of the martyrs and missing workers forgave Aamir Khan. Altaf Hussain also ratified Aamir Khans reinstatement as a worker of the MQM. Speaking on this occasion, Aamir Khan said that his act had caused a great deal of damage to the movement. 'I feel ashamed from the relatives of martyrs, he said. He said that he would atone for his acts till his last breath. It may be mentioned that Aamir Khan was in jail for the last eight years and was released from Central Jail two days back.
