LAHORE: Ghani Global Group has formally inaugurated its Tubing Glass Manufacturing Plant near Phool Nagar Bypass, Distt. Kasur. This is the first ever state-of-the-art European technology glass tubing plant of the country completed with a cost of over Rs1.4 billion. Plant is operated by foreign experts.
Company has imported brand new machinery from, world renowned manufacturers of glass machinery from Italy, japan, Germany, UK and China. Technical know-how and furnace design of the plant has been based on latest available European technology namely "Kimble" having handsome experience and patent name in glass tubing field.
Speaking to the inauguration ceremony here on Thursday, Atique Ahmad Khan, Chief Executive of Ghani Global Group said that Glass Tubing manufactured by the Company is import substitute and will save millions of dollar in shape of foreign exchange for the nation. He further stated that glass tubes manufactured by Ghani Global Group is equal to European standard for pharmaceutical use. Whereas glass tubes being imported in Pakistan from China is not meeting international pharmaceutical standard. With the start of production at Ghani Global Glass, International Standard will be available in Pakistan at competitive prices. Mr. Atique Ahmad Khan stated that the plant is operated by the foreign experts.
Project is spread over on a vast area of more than 108 kanal at 52 KM Lahore Multan Road, Phool Nagar Bypass, Tehsil Pattoki District Kasur behind the Ghani Gases Limited (an associated company).
Beside meeting domestic demand and curtailing import quantum, Ghani Global Glass is planning to export the Glass Tubing to Afghanistan and SAARC countries.
Management of Ghani Global Group is highly qualified, experienced and a history of successful operations of mining, glass and gases manufacturing units. They are successfully operating industrial and medical gases plants in Phool Nagar Distt. Kasur and Port Qasim Karachi. They are also planning a zero waste chemical plant near Phool Nagar with a cost of over 1.9 billion.
Mr. Shafqaat Ahmed Country Head & President of Albaraka Bank graced the ceremony as Chief Guest, Dr. Salman Shah Ex. Finance Minister, Mr. Aitzaz Ahmad Khan founder member of Ghani Group, leading bankers, a large number of customers, Mr. Masroor Ahmad Khan, Hafiz Farooq Ahamd and Mr. Farzand Ali directors of the company were present at this occasion.
